go to cat scale with empty tank. weigh. fill tank. re-weigh. divide difference in weight by 8.3 and you will now know how many gallons you have.

I would simply buy a few 5 gallon buckets at Home Depot or lowes. Fill em up and start funneling them into the tank. See how many it takes before full.
