Thanks for all the input, it is very helpful. My biggest drawback that i see with running the 2 2000's is the fuel tank size on them is much smaller which would require more frequent fill ups.

Glad you were able to get one, for the money the Champion 3100 is hard to beat. I have since put mine to some serious use at work to try it out for a small construction project and a lengthy home power outage (5 hours). Weight is great and really easy to transport....got some good comments from other campers last season too.

I have this unit and it runs my 15K without issue plus the converter. I would not run the micro and this at the same time, but it will run any appliance in the unit. Yes it's heavy, but it also serves my home well during power outages so I deal with the weight the few times I need to move it. The Camco adaptor plugs right in and converts to an RV 30A outlet.

I would really be surprised if the Champion ran in eco-mode when pushing your AC, let alone running other electric items in your RV.
