Yearly TT inspections

I've read that some of you are 3-5 hours away from the dealers. Where do you take your TT to get the inspection?

Can you go to a universal trailer dealer, camping world to get inspected?

Obviously this is for Texas inspections.

Interesting, I was discussing this with my neighbor (also a trailer guy) this morning. There's a Camping World on 35W which would be pretty close and I expect they will do inspections tho I can't say for sure.

TxDPS - Vehicle Inspection Locator

This will get you the info you need for your area. This is only for Texas.

Thanks!!! I know where the places listed are, but, it might be a bear to get into some of these parking lots.

It can be difficult to get a trailer inspected in PA because not all inspection stations are authorized to inspect trailers.

New York does require trailer inspections once a year. I have never had it done. Just act dumb if you get stopped. That's why many owners register them in Maine and its much cheaper there.

I'm in Texas as well. I just got it done at the local jiffy lube. They said they could do any trailer as long as they don't have pneumatic brakes.
