Your Handle/ id's

I am a newer member and find some of your id log in's curious, funny and some just down right confusing. Just would love to know what/where your tag name came from.. Mine is easy. 67 Mustang and my name is Pete.

I am seeing some fun coming and will probably want to change my id... and would love if you could share why you picked your "handle".

Pete

Do you have a '67 Mustang or is it on the wish list?

Mine is pretty simple too. One of my old bosses that I enjoyed working for used to call people "Duke", it was actually pretty funny to hear him say it. Guess you'd have to be there. So I just used that for my handle and since it was already taken,I added my birthday, 26 to it.

I was EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) in the Army. Every time we blew something up all of the fragmentation seemed to come directly at me. So my SGT gave me the nickname frag magnet. So I have just always used a shortened version.

After 35+ years of it the excitement is waning somewhat, but I still like to do it (when things are going right that is)

35 years of doing any job tends to take some of the joy out of it. I get tired and frustrated at times but I still enjoy the finished product knowing I brought an old car back from the junk heap it was headed for

Just a name that was given to me years ago offshore and stuck. I aint that big really. So, Little John really didn't have much choice but to carry the torch in a smaller version, and that is what he goes by. Don't just call him John as he'll correct you.

If you ever see our rig, and / or cargo trailer, you'll know it's us as it's on the AC cover and on the back of the cargo trailer. Maybe one day I'll get lucky enough to run into another Jayco forum member. So far, no such luck. On the other forums, have managed to meet many.

I fix aircraft. I cut my teeth on the Twin Commander series. Great plane, very capable of pretty much anything you throw at it.

Now I'm manage a shop handling transport category aircraft.

I went with Northern Jay because I live in BC, Canada and it is another name for the Gray Jay/Whiskey Jack/Canada Jay. It made sense to me. A friendly bird that ranges the forests and campgrounds of Canada.
Happy Camping
