I gave it serious thought when I ordered the Camco but thought I would give it a try. My wallet is bleeding profusely and thought I would save a few shillings. If I have problems, I may have to "upgrade" to the adjustable model. (making mental note of the Watts unit)

I made my RV Park reservations the other day and drove down yesterday to finalize the paperwork, get my remote for the gated access and access to the golf course and laundry rooms. I took the opportunity to stop a couple of the guests who live there and asked if water pressure or quality was an issue, among other things. Everyone was very helpful and were honestly very happy with the site. One guy even told we where the best fishing hole was on the property.

I will be picking up my TT in a couple of weeks and will have a chance to give all the new equipment a trial run. We will see how everything works soon.

I am back in Houston with my new Eagle.

It was touch and go as the weather was beautiful all the way up to Middlebury, IN. but snowed and dropped to 17 degrees F the evening after we arrived. Woke up to rain and sleet, which was the day of the PDI. Was grateful that it took place inside. 6 hours later, with the help of my girl friend, my inspection was complete. Left the TT for them to take care of the items they could on the list. The rest will have to be addressed at a local dealer here in Houston.

The tech Randy Smith did a very good job inspecting the unit but I still found three sheets of things that needed to be fixed or noted on the RO.

It snowed again the next day but cleared up by the time I pulled out of the bay that afternoon.

The dealer tried to charge me for 3 hours of bay time at $100\hr but I refused. I had to unhitch and get in my truck before the service manager Kyle Richardson ran out and said that he would waive the charges. Moral of the story, do not get emotionally attached to your RV and be prepared to walk away. Do not pay until you have everything noted and\or fixed.

I tried to take some pictures but it was hard to get them to fit in the camera frame. The parking lot was getting crowded.

As soon as I get my data cable, I will post a video walk through and some pictures.

Thanks again for everyone's support and guidance. It really paid dividends when I did my inspection.

I've been waiting all weekend to see your post of the outcome of your PDI.

You really hit the nail on the head by stating "Moral of the story, do not get emotionally attached to your RV and be prepared to walk away. Do not pay until you have everything noted and\or fixed."

Do you have any major items that need to be addressed or things that you will end up accepting the way it is?

The only thing that really annoys me is the wrinkles in the Dicor on the roof. I need a leak fixed where the shower hose connects to the wall. It only leaks if you have pressure in the hose and try to close off the spray head to save hot water while bathing. I also have a rear window that came open while driving down from Indiana. It does not seem to shut properly. I also have a slide seal that seems to have popped out from under the framing. Have some decals that need replacing but that is minor IMO. Wishing the hot water tank was larger but you can take a comfortable shower if you manage your water flow and turn on both the electric and gas heaters.

There are several things that bother me, but I am pretty picky. Why they nail through panels to secure shelving is just wrong. You would never get away with that in home construction. They are clearly visible no matter how much wood putty you put over it.

They have a valve on the water heater that is backwards. It makes it hard to get to and remember how it should be orientated. Just another example of corner cutting.

But, overall, my tech Randy Smith did a great job fixing the things I had on my punch list like openings in the bottom where wiring came through or they cut the material too short. Nothing that makes the unit unusable, which was a primary concern.

I will still have to spend a week or two at my local dealer to get the decals and the other items I listed sorted. I expected more from my dealer in Indiana when it came to repairs I requested. The "unavailability" of parts, a mile from the factory just seemed wrong. The dealer should have had easy access to the items needed to make the final repairs IMO. I think they just wanted their money and me out of their hair.

Thanks for the follow up and I hope I have adequately answered your questions. I am waiting on Comcast to come out and hook up a hard wired internet connection\cable for faster speeds. I will post a walk through video and photos then.

Not really. Only once in a while when there is a VERY strong wind. Not even the passing of a large semi disturbs me. With the TV, it is just as long as I found out parking next to several semis at truck stops and rest areas. Even had one guy ask if he could take a look inside with his wife.

The overall length is a bit daunting for some. It took me some time to back it into my spot here at home. I had to take off the sway bars to get her backed in.

I installed some of the things I had purchased earlier.

Two security lights on motion sensors and are solar powered. Very effective. One above the door and the other above the hitch.

Installed the California Immobilizer, Reese ball lock, Hitch pin lock, utility blocks under the levelers, and water filter.

Also took some pictures of the cleaned up truck and TT.

It is 4 years old. I need to paint parts of the bed and the receiver. It has also seen 211K miles of safety chain use.

And it does not have a license plate because I just bought it a week ago. The paper plate is in the back window.

I got them here. Not real bright but plenty bright to light the stairs and see who is at the door at night or when you are coming home late.

Road salt on the dealer installed parts. It was 17 degrees F when I left and snow everywhere. 1200 miles has already worn through part of the painted areas. I was surprised myself.

Just more work for me to make it right again.
