30 ft 2 in! New owner of Jay Flight SLX 267BHSW

We had a layout in mind that we really liked and a 30ft driveway with a finite length!
Everything we looked at with that layout was just too long for our drive - despite several sales people trying to convince me that it really wasn't an issue...
I was about to reach a compromise when we came across the 267BHSW at 30' 2" hitch to bumper.

Even the level-up Jay Flight (non-SLX) with similar layout was a few inches longer, so we determined that fate had dealt us a lucky strike and went for it. I even prefer trading less features for the lighter weight trailer GVWR of 7000lbs to stay well below the Expedition's Tow rating.

Enjoying the upgrade from a Fleetwood High-wall tent trailer - loving the easy setup. And it's tows nice 'n' easy.

Happy so far, once the warranty issues have been resolved. But almost all trailers have those, don't they?

Reminds me of when we traded from our pop-up to a travel trailer. Our PUP fit in the driveway just fine, but the travel trailer just barely cleared the sidewalk when we backed it up to almost touching the garage. Thankfully, the previous owners had poured a concrete pad to stow their motorhome, so the trailer fit right in. I couldn't have gotten a bigger one and stored it at the house, so I feel your pain on finding one just the right size.

Congrats on your new trailer! Your going to love it! Sales people will tell you a 40' trailer will fit in a 30' driveway, if it means a sale to them.
Also, like you said, Most trailers do have some kind of warranty work. Just too many parts!

We have a free place to store it in the winter, but it's a couple of hours away, so fitting it on the drive is a necessity between trips.

Dealer offered a protection package on the trailer, but at well over $1000 I passed on it.
Got a $20 bottle of Vinyl protector for the seats and some scotch guard for the carpets.

Now I'm looking to apply a protective wax coat to the exterior. Any recommendations?
Should I wax the roof or just the sides?

What other protective measures should I take before stowing it for the winter?

I believe your TT has aluminum sides. Any good auto wax would be fine. Do not wax the roof. It is made of rubber and needs only occasional cleaning and resealing. Wax would only hinder this step and make sealing nearly impossible.
