3rd times a charm
Howdy from the great state of Iowa. We've got a Jayco Jayflight swift 248rbs. This is our 3rd RV the 1st was a 32' Cobra TT one trip to Bear Lake Idaho and back to Ia. had too many problems with it so upgraded to a 34' Spinakker 5th wheel hated the beast had it for 10 yrs. didn't go anywhere except local lake. Too heavy, Hydraulic slides, etc... Swore I would NEVER own another RV.
Fast forward 15yrs we find ourselves the proud owners of our 25' Jayco.
Got it July 6 went camping the 7-11 at Ledges state park near Boone Ia.
Home from the 12-14 then to Nauvoo state park in Nauvoo, IL.14-17
Moved up river to Geode state park near Burlington, Ia. 17-19 then back home.
Current mods; 1st was the mattress went to a standard Queen
Added a Clock/Temp gauge
Future Mods;
1)Stabilizers on landing gear to reduce rock and roll
2)Replace the rear bumper with something a bit heavier with a bike rack.
3)Fab a tire carrier for under the TT. thinking something like I have under the truck.
4)Adjustable bed
I love to tinker in the shop. I'll post some pics of mods in the Mod forum as I get them done.
