Am I nutz. I bought two Jayco trailers in one month

Now that I got your attention
Been a boater my whole life. Owned many types and sizes and at times owned two at one time. Decided to give camping on land a try. Purchased a 97 Jayco 1406. It was in less than stellar shape but had strong bones and decent canvas. I went through the whole thing. First was to remove, clean up and re-seal the roof. Then wheels axles and brakes. Then get all the systems running. After that, the upholstery and curtains removed and washed. Started taking measurements to rebuild the cabinetry to a more updated look.

During this time there were several trips to the Jayco dealer for parts and advice. Every trip to the dealer we toured the 2017 models. it seemed to be inevitable that one of these trips I would be shelling out the dough for a deposit instead of accessories. As you guessed, we purchased a 28BHBE
We thought it was a no brainier not so much because of Jayco but the dealer. All the guys at the desk and in the shop are very helpful and knowledgeable. To us that's more important than the box on wheels you choose.
So here we go again, I'm a two boat owner.......I mean camper.
And yes we did use the 1406 a few times before buying the new one..

Don't feel bad, in 2008 we bought a SENECA and a HYBRID the same week. Of course the HYBRID went to our daughter which is actually why we were at the dealer to begin with. The "boss" looked at the SENECA and said I want it and you know how that goes.

Thanks for the welcome. I'd like to keep them both but I'd have to pay to store one of them. Not sure it makes sense then. I know the pup isn't worth much market value but it's heck of a lot of fun camping out of. It's got more windows and counter space too
I suppose I'm trying to rationalize keeping the pup so I don't have to go through dealing with tire kickers looking to offer me pennies. Guess I shouldn't have gotten so personal with it so soon.

C'mon Gman - give us some Before (if you took any) and After. You know some prospective buyer may ask at least for some After photos.

Congrats on the 28BHBE; you will enjoy it. We just got home a few hours ago after spending 9 days in ours. We walked thru many different TT, and this is the one that "hit us". We wanted one that was completely usable during stops on the road with slide in, and this works perfect. Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks again for the welcome. I do have pics. To many pics. I find myself taking pics of silly little mechanical things to save for reference than compare them to others online. Two hard drives of boat photos. Good thing my boats aren't running for president. none deleted though. Lol I'll be happy to post em. Just lemme know where to put them.

Quite funny guys........not up my four point of contact

G-MAN, how 'bout putting the photos of the 1406 (Pup?) where they might do some good with the members here - in the Classified section of this site. Would that work?

We live in Jayco Bungalow 2011 and we travel in a Jayco Jayflight G2 33RLDS 2011. Nothing wrong with that.
