Finally got a camper

After a few years of trying, I finally talked the wife into getting a camper.
I bought a 2010 Jayco Jay Flight G2 32BHDS for a co-worker. My daughters ages 9 and 6 are already planning on sleeping in it this weekend in the driveway. We absolutely love it so far. The only downside is we wont be able to take it out until the first of November due to my work schedule.

Here is a picture of my new camper and my tow pig. It is a 2007 Ford F-250 Super Duty. The truck was sitting a little low because I didnt have the Leveling bars set correctly and i didnt have the air bags on the truck filled.

If anyone has any tips and/or do's/dont's for a first timer feel free to reply.
I do have experience pulling trailers, I drove an 18 wheeler for 11 years delivering carpet in Atlanta, Ga.

That is an awfully nice gift for a co-worker. I can't imagine what you get your wife for her birthday!

Enjoy the trailer.

My usual tips are:

Dump the black tank first and then the gray.
Head to the scales on your first trip to make sure your WDH is setup properly and you loaded the trailer properly. I find it very easy to load our trailer way too front heavy.

Keep an eye on your payload when you get to the scale. Some F-250 Diesels don't have a lot to begin with. With your big trailer and the tool box in the back you could be getting close to your GVWR.

Welcome from Cumming Ga., your the only other Georgian I've seen here so far. Enjoy the camping, you got lots of nice places convenient to where you live that's for sure! P.S. My wife buys the Georgia Winery wines by the case, the closest outlet is in Dahlonega.

Welcome to the Jayco family! We are hiding from the Florida summer heat up here in Hiawassee GA, until the end of September. The summer went by really fast.

Let us know how your camping trip goes

Don
