First TT

Hi everyone! Just got our Jayco Jay Flight SLX 267BHSW. This is our first TT and it will also be our first time to go camping. This is all new to us. Looking forward to learn more from the forum. Any info or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Don't be afraid or embarrassed to ask for help! Most campers are friendly and don't mind lending a hand or passing on knowledge. Lots of good advice on this forum too. Make sure you have a small set of tools and a good lug wrench that fits the trailer lug nuts.

CONGRATULATIONS on the JAYCO!!!

...and WELCOME TO JOF!!! The members here are GREAT!!! There is a lot of GREAT information to be found here. I am sure that you will have information and pictures to share with us... so please do!!

Don

If your trailer is sitting without any shore-power (110VAC) connected to it, remove the main 30 amp fuse which is located by the battery. This will keep the battery from going dead. The CO detector, radio and fridge circuit board all are using battery power 24/7.

Welcome to JOF and camping!

Enjoy the 1st trip and make notes on what you need for the nex time. Hopefully you got a starter kit with the rig and you can go from there.

Take some time and learn how to operate all the systems in your trailer.

Ask questions, people like to talk about camping!

Google camping list. Take pen and pad and write down what you forgot. Relax enjoy and congrats on the new trailer.

Thanks for the welcome. We have been busy reading the posts in this forum, watching YouTube, reading blogs, etc. So much to learn. Hubby is already nervous on our first trip next week. We are all hoping to have a wonderful trip.
