New owners of a jay flight swift slx 184bh Baja. What a cool trailer for a family of four. Read this forum for lots of ideas before the maiden voyage this may long weekend (May two-four) used our baby gate between the opening of bottom bunks to keep the little guy(21 months) from rolling out, like a baby jail! After all the initial outlay costs we have a NEW list of things that we still need! This trailer is easy to operate and tows easily with my 2014 jeep grand cherokee with the v6. Well behaved little trailer as well no WDH or sway control needed the JGC has a trailer sway control as part of elec. stability program. Now if I can convince the wife to let me get a dodge w/cummins and a 30'. Kidding I love my setup. JGC has all Curt product for towing including curt venturer brake control which I like a lot.

First trip for us too
Also new owners of a 184BH Baja. We're located just a bit south in Seattle. We also find the trailer perfect for a family of four (our boys are 5 and 6). The advice on this forum was just invaluable and helped make for a trouble-free first outing.
Our first trip was to a King County campground near Carnation, Washington about 40 minutes east of Seattle. What a beautiful and well-maintained campground in a great riverside setting with snow-capped mountains in the distance. We're planning our next trip. No need to go far from home!

We camped in a private ground vs provincial to avoid the riffraff that comes out to play on the May two-four. Next trip in two weeks with my younger brothers family he pulls an r-vision 26bhs slide out

Dude those photos are great. I'm glad to see other people pulling this trailer with an SUV. 4runner right? I got a few comments about the flipped axle and gnarly mud tires but hey makes for easy under trailer storage to keep the site tidy. This lil beauty fits perfectly in my driveway and doesn't tax my v6. That bridge looks really cool! Have fun on your next trip. Our next one is to just east of Harrison lake only an hour from home for me and my little bro

Yes, it's a 1997 4Runner and I'm the original owner. A great rig and towing was fine.
Sure, there are some remarks about the "off road" look, but since we're late for making summer reservations, I have a feeling the tires and higher clearance will come in handy this summer when we go down questionable Forest Service roads looking for an empty site!
Unfortunately, we have a teeny-tiny driveway (to match our teeny-tiny backyard) in Seattle, so I have to park the trailer in a tight rented spot about a mile from our house. Backing the trailer down the lot and into our space was the only stressful part of the trip. I found that my steering in reverse only gave the trailer "suggestions" as to which way to go as opposed to the firm commands that I had envisioned.

I wish I had the ground clearance of a Baja. Comes in handy trying to get a good flow draining the tanks. It should be a better tow for your higher clearance vehicles as well.

Pugetsoundguy I understand what you mean! I've been a truck driver since I was 18 years old but five ton or three ton only. So I thought I would have no problem maneuvering a trailer right? Wrong! Getting better with every shift into reverse! Thanks threebutchers it tows so very nicely behind the grand.

Also a BC guy we left on Wednesday before our long weekend and are still away. We went to Grayland beach state park, larrabee state park and are now at Swinomish casino waiting for friends to arrive if the weather holds we are heading to Skagit speedway Saturday night. 11 night trip

That's a lot of camping Derek. The wife and I went crazy on the discover camping website last night and booked five more trips. We haven't considered heading stateside yet as we don't have a passport for our youngest yet. Maybe next year. I have fond memories of the Olympic peninsula and surround areas with my parents back in the 80's. Plus gotta do my part as the 12th man right sad to see Golden Tate traded to Detroit!
