Future Camper From East TN

Hello JOF - another newbie here. I'm from Upper East TN near the TN/VA/NC state lines about 100 miles east of the Smoky Mountains and only a few miles from the NASCAR Bristol Motor Speedway. Just now learning about camping and travel trailers - it's been on my "bucket list" for some time. Don't have a camper yet, but I'm looking and soaking up all the knowledge and advice this forum has to offer. Will probably have a lot of questions later on down the line.

In the meantime, I'm pleased to be here and looking forward to being a happy camper.

Welcome Mike! I didn't find this forum until after we purchased our TT, but apparently we got lucky and had a salesperson who listened to our wants. We love our 32bhds!

Mike, my suggestion is to start with your tow vehicle. Take everything off your list that you can't tow. That is unless you want to upgrade you TV.

I am always amazed how long TN is. When we hit I40 coming down I81 the first mile marker we see reads 421 miles or something like that... Thats a long way to memphis TN...

Yup - from East to West it's about a total of 500 miles across the Volunteer State. Makes for one good days drive. I'm really learning a lot on this forum about travel trailers. You all are the best - thanks for all your words of advice for us newbies.
