Greetings from Dripping Springs Texas

Hello,

After DW and I have discussed getting a TT for the last 20 +years, we bought a new to me 198RD Jay Flight.

We are pretty excited and are leaving in the morning for our first RV trip. Stopping in Lockhart for a cowboy action match and then to Goose Island state park for a couple of nights fishing and some sleeping in.

Been reading in this forum and learning a lot. Thanks to all for their information.

I'm sure I'll be able to add a post to the "I made a mistake" thread, just hope it ain't an expensive lesson.

Congrats and welcome. Enjoy some of the great Texas BBQ that Lockhart offers. My brother and SIL lived there for 30 yrs., he still runs the flight school at Lockhart Municipal but now they live up in the Basteop area. I think we are due for another Texas trip.
Take care.

Welcome to this forum and happy for you and your wife with the 198RD. We bought one a while ago and are happy with the unit, it is all we need for our travels. Going down from a 5er 33 ft. The suspension has 3500lb axle's and is way over, so if overloaded a bit no problem. We installed an extra shelf in the uppers above sink and dinette. Also a door for easy access under the queen bed storage. This TT handles very well on the road with windy conditions. Good luck and happy camping.
