Cool Greetings from Mint Hill, NC

New to JOF, looking forward to seeing what I have done correctly and most importantly what I have done incorrectly the last 8.5 years.

We owned a 2003 Jayco Kiwi 23B from March 2005 until April 2013. Absolutely loved that camper, we used it solidly for 8 years while watching our family expand from 3 to 5 members. After many, many fantastic trips, three kids getting older, numerous departures packing in the rain, we decided to move from the hybrid to a fully enclosed.

First we had to upgrade the TV from a Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT (5.3L) to a 2010 Toyota Tundra this past March. Then we ran across a cannot pass deal and we purchased our new addition to the family in April 2013, a 2013 Jayflight 28BHS. Kids love the extra space and amenities, wife loves the bigger shower, oven, 2nd fridge in rear exterior storage area, automatic slide-out and automatic awning. I have to admit that I miss the Kiwi from time to time, but this new one is pretty sweet.

So far - Huntington Beach, SC; Deep Creek & Cherokee, NC; and Mammoth Caves in KY - leave for a long Labor Day trip to Myrtle Beach State Park in 2 days.

Thanks and happy camping!

Re: Greetings from Mint Hill, NC

Welcome to the JOF from a fellow NCer and congrats on the new TT!

Enjoy your trip to Myrtle Beach State Park. We were there in early June right after school let out. It was pretty good during the week but got super crowded on the weekend. I imagine Labor Day weekend will be much the same.
