Greetings from NW Illinois

We are a family of four...mom, dad, and two daughters (10, 13). I guess we're not technically Jayco owners, yet, but we are currently awaiting production and delivery of our 1st Jayco...a 2016 Jay Flight 32BHDS. We're trading in our first ever trailer, a 2011 Keystone Passport 2590BH. We really needed more room to spread out during our trips and kept coming back to this unit. We had some very specific needs out of our next trailer. We've ordered the new trailer with the Elite and Thermal packages, hide-a-bed, 39" TV, aluminum rims, fiberglass sidewalls, and cargo accessory receiver. Interior will be Cashew. The worst part of this experience so far is the waiting!! We have received confirmation of a 4/14 finish date. Hopefully that gives us one weekend for a shakedown run before Memorial Day as I don't expect to take possession any earlier than the first weekend in May.

Be sure to do some camping in it right in your driveway. Run everything just like you were out in the woods. Sleep in it, go to the toilet in it, do dishes...everything. It is a good way to find any problems or learn how things really work before you are miles from home.

Technically.... Welcome to the JOF and congratulations on the new Jay Flight.

Yes, the waiting isn't the fun part but it is worth the wait.

I've been camping since the 1970s and had several campers. I've always camped in the driveway with a new camper or at the selling dealers facility for the first night before I took it on the road. Every new camper will have problems either from not understanding how the systems work or a manufacturing mistake. You do not want to bee out in the boondocks when a slide will not come in or a black tank valve will not open. Good luck with your new RV.
