Greetings from Ontario

Hello Everyone,

First time Travel Trailer from Ontario here. Just bought a 2010 Starcraft Autumn Ridge 18BH, it is manufactured by Jayco so I figured this would be the best forum to join, ask for information and then over time contribute my experiences with others.

Cheers.

Jim

You're absolutely correct - this IS the best forum to join for Jayco owners. You will find tons of experienced advice here, and it's a lot of fun as well. Welcome, and please post often with questions, experiences, and of course lots of pics when they are available.

Here is a picture of the trailer I bought.

I have been searching for about 6 months with my plan on using it from next summer onwards. I didn't want to spend a fortune on our first trailer in case we wanted to up size or found it was not for us. Well that was to begin with. We looked at all makes and all sizes, as well as new and old. There is a lot of junk out there, holes in floors, leaky roofs and still asking a lot as far as I was concerned. With the budget I set myself up for I ended up looking at a 2012 Jayco 154BH. It was just too small for our needs, so I decided to be patient and eventually found a 2010 Starcraft Autumn Ridge 186BH right on my budget price. The only negative I found was that the vinyl was cut in two small places about 6 inches long. It looked like the previous owner dragged or cut something on the floor and cut the vinyl by accident. I peeled it back and the wood was dry and solid, so it is an easy fix and the fact I got it for just under $10k I am happy with it. I did not realise until I started looking just how many used trailers there are sitting on lots with no one buying them, there is so many bargains to be had out there with the fact not to many people seem to be buying them compared to a few years ago.
Cannot wait to pick it up next week and use it next summer!!!!!
Cheers for all the feedback so far.

Jim
