Griswald One on the Road

Hello All,

We are new to the Jayco community. Our previous camping experiences were on board a 21ft Trailsport hybrid and a 34ft Sunset Trail TT. Our family has travelled up and down the Eastern Coast several times with our biggest trip being 12 days in Fort Wilderness last year. We have had many adventures and more then just a few misadventures. In 2011 in a single trip we were stung by a swarm of Jellyfish, chased from Myrtle Beach by a hurricane, standing in the Museum of Natural History when the DC Earthquake hit and had out trucks transmission blow up 18km from the Canadian border on our way home. It was one of the best trips we have ever been on!!! Since then we have been refered to as the Griswalds by friends and family.

Last month we moved slightly closer to Full Griswald status by upgrading to a Greyhawk 29ME C Class. The first thing we did after getting it home was take a photo of yours truly hoisting a beer while standing in a fur cap and bathrobe while "emptying" the tanks into the sewer grate.

We can't wait for our new adventures and misadventures. Look forward to getting to know the Jayco community.

Sounds like a great adventure, but you CAN'T mention a picture like that without posting it here. It just wouldn't be fair, cousin Eddie!

The misadventures are much more memorable, aren't they? I can't tell you how many times I drove I81 into Scranton, PA. but August 2010 will stand out because that was the time I had to replace a set of wheel bearings while on the side of the road!

Love it! Too bad you can't get the license plate, but you could always get a bumper sticker made.

That's a great pic! I can't tell you how many times people have quoted that movie to me when I told them that we had bought an RV. "Now that there's an RV, Clark. Don't you go falling in love with it..."

Be sure your camping near a really good movie theatre with big screen and sound because the Griswolds are back in the movie Vacation coming July 29th. Hoping it lives up to the orginal greatness.
