First time "camping"? In a tent in the backyard as a kid. Later, as a tortured teen, I was subjected to "camping" in an RV parked in a KOA...our two-week summer vacation. After Best Husband Ever and I were married, we'd spend hours in the outdoor stores just looking at all the cool stuff. Now, we're spending hours in the outdoor stores BUYING all the cool stuff (ugh!), having abandoned the tent idea (too old to pee in the woods) and buying Big Betty, our first popup.
Best of all? We're planning our weekends around camping, not work. Pretty sure that's the definition of "happy"!
