Hello all from Louisiana

New to the forum a few days ago and soon to be a new Pinnacle 36FBTS owner. Waiting to sell everything, house and wife to retire and begin a new life on the road full-timing. Can't wait. Ready to get the hell out of dodge. Hope to see y'all out there somwhere.

Haven't decided at this time. The three I comtacted were Bus Supply in McCombe Ms, Steve's Rv in LaCombe and Indiana RV Connection in Middlebury Indiana. Indiana Rv had the lowest price but I am more concerned about haveing a service dealer I can get to any time of the year and one who has good service. May I ask why you mentioned Steve's RV? Is there a problem with them?

Welcome to JOF, I had a double take reading your post. I thought it said you were selling your house and wife? A couple more reads cleared it up.

Enjoy the future rig and retirement is a good thing.

No problem at all with Steve's. They are one of the only places I'll deal with in Louisiana. Small family run outfit, and that's what I prefer. My experience there has always been excellent.

Thanks BigJohnD and Georgere for the info about Steve's Rv. When we visited them to look at a FW, Steve himself helped us and was real helpful and honest about the questions we had. He took the time with us to answer all our questions and advise us on things to look for when buying. Very nice people.

Welcome to the forum. Lots of information floating around here. No question considered too dumb to ask, no down beat on anyone else, just lots of helpful fokes trying to help out. That said, we bought a gently used 08 Eagle Super Lite from Steve's RV several years ago. Great sales experience, Steve took his time, answered
all questions, no sales pressure. The PDI walkthru was great, no one tried to rush us thru, and covered everything we could think of. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely return to Steve's RV when in the market for another RV.

No. The wampuscat thing came from an old comment my grandfather use to say. I always remembered it and made me laugh. The picture I found doing research is a nose art on an old WW2 aircraft.

Welcome And congrats on your new adventures! While your looking, give Cenla campers a call or visit in Alexandria, Louisiana. They gave me the best deal out of all the ones you mentioned. Warranty work was top notch too. They have good employees, a lot that's been there over 20 years. The salesman i dealt with was Raymond

Thanks again all of you. The best way to find a good dealer is to listen to customers that have dealt with them. Happy camping to all.

Welcome to JOF! We really like our Pinnacle 36 FBTS. You will find lots of helpful things here on the forum. I was about to ask where you got Wampuscats, when I saw your answer. It's not the most common thing. I thought you might have originally been from Conway, Arkansas. Their high school mascot is a Wampuscat.

Ahh, OK. My mother was from Leesville, class of 1950. I took her to the reunion in 2010, so I'm somewhat familiar with the area. Happy travels!
