Hello from a first time RV'r

Hello from beautiful Ohio. I am a long time tent camper, but I share my home with three women and if camping was going to continue being a family affair then an upgrade was required. I spent about a year shopping for an entry level model that fit my family of 4. Last week I found a deal I couldn't pass on, and yesterday my family and I brought home our 2016 SLX 264bhw. We couldn't be more excited, our maiden voyage is scheduled for less than 2 weeks from now. Going up the west side of Michigan to see the early fall sunsets over the lake. My wife and daughters suggested we have a bonfire last night and burn our tent. I don't think they were joking????

Don't burn the tent. We still have ours as a "change house". Especially if you have two girls, you will never be able to enter your trailer without knocking (or just never be able to enter your trailer) unless you have a different place for getting changed...

Congratulations on the Jayco and welcome to JOF and the RV life!

Donate the tent to a homeless shelter, if you don't need it anymore.
