Hello from Central Ohio

Hello,
My name is Mike. I am new here and a new (to us) Jayco owner. We just got a 2007 Jayco Jay Flight 254, towing it with a 2003 F-150. We really like this floor plan, it has the queen slide out in the rear, with bunk over queen in the front. One thing we really like is not having to us the dinette or the sofa as a bed on normal family trips, but still have them available for the frequent guests that go camping with us. We are upgrading from an older pop up due to massive water damage to the roof. We picked the Jayco up about 3 weeks ago, first trip is in a week and a half.

Looks like there is some good info around here. I have a bunch of questions, but before I ask those, what is the preferred etiquette on this site? Is it better if I ask several questions in a single thread, or start a different thread for each unrelated question.

Congrats and welcome.

Lots of new folks ask multiple questions in one thread, or you can break them up if you like and even ask them in different forums subjects. The advantage to that is that various members may float around in a few topics, while others will move across several.

There is also a search engine for past topics.

It is helpful if you add some specific info about your trailer and tow vehicle in your signature line so when you ask questions, you get the right focus.

Ask away

Thank you all. I've been looking around a bunch, so hopefully don't ask too many questions that have already been answered a dozen times. Lots of good info here. Have already used 1 idea of using part of a pool ladder for the bunk bed.

BuckeyeJim, We're from Union County & I work in Delaware. We love Alum Creek and have camped there frequently. Some times the DW & kids have camped there, while I have gone to work during the day. (Actually we have loved most of the 18 or so Ohio State parks we have camped at.) Have not camped at Delaware State Park yet, but thinking about it for Labor Day weekend since the kids have some activities that weekend, so we can't go too far.
