Wink Hello From Eastern Iowa.

Hi there, just bought a new to me, 1990 Jayco Jay-series 1006, for #300.
the body is in excellent condition. the canvas has seen its time but I will need to patch it to get it through this season. It also has some hail damage to the roof and one of the poles wont lift. Just replaced both tires since one blew out on me 4 block after I bought it, the spare and the other tire made it the last 40 miles home, pretty good for 25 year old tires since the owner said they we the original tires, lol. im currently painting the spare black and will be mounting a new tire on it this week. then I can dismount and paint the other rims. For some reason the white rims are just ugly to me. I know I will be using 3M marine sealer to fix the hail damage and then repainting the top. Ill be needing some help on how to clean the inside of the camper, canvas included, how to patch the canvas and how to fix my one lift pole. I have a bunch of spare parts that I took off of a vking camper that I amd scraping due to rot and will be making into a utility trailer. All in all im looking forward to getting out of a tent this year.

Yes, tent, several popups, then trailer, then bigger tow vehicle, then bigger trailer, then 5th wheeler, then much bigger tow vehicle........ It just keeps going on and on and on. But what fun we have had. I envy you just starting out with all the selections you will have available.
Welcome to the Forum!
