New here to the forum. My wife and I traded in our jet boat for a 2012 Jayflight 26BH. Been out the last two weekends and my girls (5 year old and 3 year old girls) absolutely love it. Still having a hard time sleeping on the queen bed (not as cozy as my sleep number at home). Looking forward to many more outings. Only concern I have about it is my tow vehicle. We have a 2002 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer with the 4.6L V8 and factory towing. Owners manual says I can tow up to 7k lbs. Trailer is rated at 4800 lbs. She struggles at highway speeds. But side streets she performs ok. Planning a trip to the Dells in 3 weeks so that will put her to the test.
Welcome to the forum! I have a 26bh as well and love it. When you say it struggles do you mean going up hills and so forth or just keeping up on the highway? My tv is not great going up hills, but slow and steady wins the race. I rarely use cruise either.
Welcome aboard from NY. I have a 27bh and a 03 Suburban with a very similar tow rating and she does fine but I have to keep the revs up going uphill to maintain speed.

I hear you there. My TV has been doing very well. Been averaging about 9.8 to 11.3 MPG (which I understand isn't too bad). I am the guy in the right hand lane doing the speed limit.

Hello from Central Illinois. Enjoy your unit. As far as fuel mileage goes, I average 13.9 pulling. And, like others have said, take some warm cloths. It's going to start getting chilly in Winconsin this time of year!
Safe Travels,
