Hello from Maine

Hi, new to this forum but not to camping or to the Jayco family.

My wife has been camping since she was a little girl. I went camping with my grandparents several times over the last 20+ years in their Class A motorhomes including a trip my wife and I took with them to Goose Bay Labrador in a 43' Dutch Star Diesel Pusher.

Our first camper was a 14' Chateau we first borrowed then purchased from my wife's parents (15 years ago). We then upgraded to a 25.5' Shasta (no slide out). A couple of years later we purchased a new 2007 Jay Feater LGT 29D (single slide). And now, as of this morning, we have put a deposit on an (already) on order 2017 (hopefully) Eagle HT 27.5 RLTS. We are really looking forward to the new unit, more space and making new mom oriels out on the road... Oh and to selling our '07 Jay Feather.

Welcome from Ohio!

A question though, why would you want to ever leave Maine?!! I count the days every year till I leave Ohio to come up to your great state! Be there in July.

Ah, just kidding. I have found interesting places, people, and natural beauty on every trip I have taken. Maybe that is why we are drawn to RV travel.

Welcome from up the road in Maine! We are leaving for the West soon and will be back in time to camp in the North Maine Woods.

Nothing finer than there in the summer and autumn.. Would like to winter camp in Acadia but our TT is too heavy to sled into Blackwoods...

Thanks, everyone. I am sure we will love it too. Really looking forward to the fifth wheel. Ironically an rv trip to Ohio is on our sooner rather than later list. My sister in law and her family are in Westlake, Oh. And of course there is that little roller coaster park in Sandusky that is worth the trip.

I am 100% Maine born and raised. Not place I would rather live. I absolutely love Acadia NP and the Northern Maine Woods (Moosehead & Katahdin area). Not that I would mind rolling the fifth wheel south for a couple of months in the dead of winter.

Longer range plans include travel in Canada and onto Alaska and eventually the Southwest too.

New monster coaster Valravn opening this summer at Cedar Point! The hype already beginning here.

Congratulations on the new Eagle and welcome to the forum.

We've been to and through Maine and the Canadian Maritimes several times and want to get back there in the not to distant future.

Congratulations on the new Eagle and welcome!

We love Maine and will be back again for a few days this summer. Haven't taken the trailer as far as Acadia yet, but we sailed that area for years and look forward to getting back there.
