hey,

Welcome to the the forum...

What kind of camping is there around the Frederickstown area. I have Family roots down State highway E where it crosses the ST Francis River. There is a Historical marker closeby there named BRADDYFORD which I assume is an old river crossing before the iron bridge was put in. Being spelled BRADDY and not BRADY I suspect this must be from my family line. I am curious if there is anything left of BRADDYFORD.

My family probably lived on the East side of the river but did marry into familys living on the west side of the river.

Was wanting to come up that way and do some bone digging haha... I have heard from an elderly gentleman a few years back that he knew of some BRADDY grave markers along the river there which may be our original homestead.

Most of my family line moved from this area and settled in the Jefferson County IL area in the mid 1860s. I am kin to all the BRADDYS still there in your area.

Now that I am somewhat foot loose being retired would like to setup camp with my OFF-ROAD POPUP somewhere in those parts and spend a week or two maybe poking around both sides of the St FRANCIS river along where the Big Iron bridge is located on State Highwat E .

Probably get shot....
