Hello from Oklahoma

My wife and I are nearing retirement and until a couple years ago tent camped...and loved it! Due to health changes, we moved to a popup to stay as close to the tent camping aspect as possible. Our first popup was an great one but only had an 8' box. So we recently purchased a Jayco Jay Series 1207. We have had it only a few days but have set it up, gone through most of the operational aspects and are looking forward to our first road/camping trip. We like the extra room of the 12' box as we sometimes camp with grandkids. The extra room is great! Out TV is a 2006 Toyota Tacoma V6 with the tow package. I put in a P2 brake controller, have hauled it a couple hundred miles or so to get it home and have not noticed much of a drop in gas mileage (19). For our purposes, where we live, lifestyle, etc. I think we found the perfect camper!
