Hello from Oregon!

My wife and I just purchased a 2017 Hummingbird 17RK which we pickup next Saturday! We have had a Coleman pop-up for years but this is our first travel trailer--we're soooo excited! Thank you for all the great info on this forum--it has helped us out a lot!

Welcome to the Forum and congrats on the New Hummingbird from Jayco. We were at Carrabelle Beach RVC Resorts last month and saw a brand new Hummingbird unit there. Very nice looking unit and great for towing.

I'm jealous, in a little over an hour your on the coast with sand between your toes. Don't forget, those winter storms are a sight to behold too. Enjoy the 4 seasons for many years with that new TT.

Thanks!

Thank you everyone! I can't wait for the warm or maybe even "cold" beach... The steelhead are starting at the coast and we may make a winter trip! We have an F150, E2 hitch and just can't wait! Talk soon!!

We owned an R-Pod - very similar. We loved it, and you'll love yours. Only those who have owned a tent trailer understand what an upgrade a trailer is. Enjoy. We love Oregon...a beautiful state.

Welcome to JOF and please ask any questions you may have. It's a great group here and glad to have you with us.

My wife and I upgraded from a 1970 Coleman popup that was falling apart. We paid 5 dollars for it, used it maybe 5 times, sold it for 1000$. We've both been tent / backpacking campers for 40 years. Upgrading to a legitimate TT is really an amazing experience / upgrade. We're using our new camper as a base camp during camping season as we still enjoy setting up the tent once in a while and getting out into the wilderness. After a couple days on the trail, the jayco feels like a luxury hotel.
