Hello from Puyallup, WA
Hello, my wife and I recently picked up a new 2016 Jay Feather X17Z. This is our first TT and excited for spring to come. We also just picked up a Honda eu2000i generator to complement our TT since my wife uses a CPAP (no humidifier) at night. Just like kids in a new tree house, we have been in and out of the camper over the last few weeks trying to personalize and make it our home away from home.
I have read many great things about converting our current 12v deep cycle to using two 6v deep cycle batteries in series, so I think this will be our first real modification. Open for suggestion if it would even be worth the effort on this size of trailer. Thanks!

CONGRATULATIONS on the JAYCO!!!
...and WELCOME TO JOF!!! The members here are GREAT!!! There is a lot of GREAT information to be found here. I am sure that you will have information and pictures to share with us... so please do!!
If you plan on dry-camping then upgrading your batteries would be highly recommended. Just remember you need a way to re-charge them also. If you plan to only stay at CG's that have electric hookups, then your current battery will be all that you need.
There is some information on batteries on the " RVing with SOLAR" Social Group in the Community section of this website. The posts are on the second page.

Welcome from a fellow Pacific North Westerner. We live in a great area for camping and your new Jayco will open up many new opportunities.

Hi Puyallup! I was at Woodside Manor RV park in Bonney Lake for 18 months before I left in September and headed south to Quartzsite AZ to follow the sun (and dry weather, ha ha!). Welcome to the forum.

Welcome from NM. I still have web feet from 30 years just north of Seattle, chased the sun south and stayed.

Welcome from Seatac!
If you decide to go with the dual 6 volt golf car batteries (good idea IMHO), contact Interstate (All Battery) in south Everett and see if the have any "blems" in stock. These are blemished batteries that might have a scratched case or abnormality and they sell them cheaper than perfect ones with the same warranty!
