Smile Hello from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Hello fellow Jayco owners!

My name is Greg and I'm a campaholic. LOL

In 2011 my wife and I bought a 2003 Coachmen 276RLS fifth wheel. It was our first and we thought we'd tow it around various parts of the province and explore.

Friends of ours have their trailer on a private seasonal site and invited us out for our very first weekend. We loved it so much we purchased a spot at the campground at that's as far as our Coachmen ever went.
Over the past two seasons we've learned a lot about the lifestyle and we completely fell in love with it. We built a deck beside the trailer, a nice firepit area and a storage shed, the lot is 5,000 sq. ft. by the way.

We also learned that our 14 year old daughter makes friends easily and it wasn't long before our site became the "hang out" site and the poor Coachmen was always packed with kids. Our seasonal campground closed on October 7th, so we pulled the Coachmen out and sold it.

Two weeks prior to the campground closing we purchased a 2010 Jayco 351RLSA bet you thought I would never get to the Jayco part).

The new (to us) fifth wheel is in absolutely new condition, it even still smells new inside. We got a great deal on it and the dealership will be delivering it to our campground in the spring. We can't wait!

I'm looking forward to learning about the Jayco and hopefully I can help others out as well.

Welcome from B.C. I was the first generation of family from Manitoba born outside the province. Used to spend summers in Ethelbert. Still have friends and family in Manitoba.

Welcome,

I am from Winnipeg too. We are not seasonal site people, preferring to get out on the road. With a newer trailer you should consider going out on the road. A great trip for the kids, and family, is the Black Hills of S.D., Mount Rushmore, etc. Fantastic.

Give it a thought and happy camping.

I am also from Winnipeg. We spend our summers partly at Winnipeg Beach, and partly taking big trips. We love this website.. full of friendship and good advice.

Hi! We spend all of our time at Pine Falls/Powerview on a 5,000 sq. ft. treed lot. I'm liking this place already and see what you mean.

We have a lot of pictures of our site, but that was when we had our Coachmen 276RLS on the site. The Jayco 351RLSA doesn't get delivered until May and we can't wait!

I just finished reading through your blogs. I am so impressed! Great vision, talent and execution! I never thought a trailer could look so much like a home and you've already given me a lot of ideas for our new summer home.

I'm going to show the blog to my wife right away and I'm sure she'll feel the same way. Thanks for keeping the blog, I'm sure it has already helped many people perk up their trailers.

Thanks.. don't be afraid to hang up art and pictures in your trailer. .. it makes a big difference. 3M has cool velcro type hanging strips that won't come down even when you are moving. Cool to have such a big lot!

Ladywendolyn, I have admired your artistic talent the past couple of years. The interior design of your trailers is remarkable.

Now, about that 3M Velcro product. You say -

They got a 1 star review on Amazon because they didn't hold for that user. If you like the product, I have to assume you didn't have the same experience. The only difference I can think of would be preparing the surface. Any advice?
