Hello out there!

Hi! I'm so happy to have found this forum! Thanks, to all of you, for taking the time to moderate and share your experience and wisdom. I've already learned quite a bit!

Earlier this year, I purchased a very well maintained 1988 Jayco Class C. After a double knee replacement surgery in the near future I am finally going to realize my dream of full-timing (avoiding snow and cold weather)

In the meantime, I am headed to Quartzsite for part of January and February. Last year, I attended the 1st Annual Rubber Tramp Rendezvous in a borrowed RV. I met some amazing people, learned a ton, and had a blast. The gorgeous weather was the icing on the cake. I am so excited to re-unite with friends a met last year and make some new friends.

I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions. I hope someone knows something about dinosaur Rvs because the manual is close to useless!

Happy Trails

Thanks for the warm welcome! It's beginning to feel a lot like home, here!

Clutch? 70's in Idaho???? Or are you wintering in AZ. I'm in Mohave county but headed to Quartzsite in a week or so... Can't wait to feel the heat.

Have fun in Quartzsite. When the doctor says 6 weeks recovery for the knee replacement they mean you no longer need a walker, crutches or cane. Takes a year to be fairly normal again. I'm a year out from left knee replacement and can now kneel but the replacement will never bend as well as the original. Getting up from sitting on the ground is still a chore.

I appreciate you sharing your experience!
It's been more than a few years since my knees were able to bend to any noticable degree so just about anything will be an improvement!
