It's been awhile

We just bought an old 1988 jayco series 1008. It is in excellent condition other than it has an icebox and I want a fridge but that is fixable.

I am finding that because of the age of the trailer it's hard to get any info on replacement parts but I am not giving up.

I'm glad I found this forum can't wait to learn from your experiences

Welcome from Western NY! Fortunately, there's a lot of items that are similar, or the same as newer units, with the exception of some exterior body parts that may be specific to your unit. Don't worry too much. The internet is a big help finding a hard to get piece.

Call Jayco. When we purchased a pop-up several years ago we called the manufacturer who was able to send us a schematic and parts list. We were then able to order parts through our local RV Dealer. The camper we purchased was at least 20 years old and it needed a lot of work. In addition to this website there is also one called popupexplorer.com that was also helpful -- it is a forum that focuses on pop-ups so there are a lot of people with a lot of experience!

It doesn't need any work at all. The canvas isn't torn or anything the zippers all work it's in amazing condition for the year. I don't even mind the color scheme I plan to paint the cabinets to updat it a bit. I really lucked out and I got it for $1600. I'm excited. Just need a new support rod
