Just picked up our new X17Z

hi everyone, my wife and i just picked up our first TT a 2015 x17z and we cant wait to go camping. Anyone out there towing with a v6 2wd 4runner with a wdh rated for 5000lbs. Our car seemed to tow from the dealership ok felt a little wind but wasnt too bad. well probably be upgrading to a tacoma or tundra in the future but for now the 4runners all we got to take us to the great outdoors. so far the only mod ive done was swapped the stock mirror for a small medicine cabnet we got from lowes. any generator suggestions would be great, one that would power the ac?
thanks!

I have not, but a quick check on the internet says that you should expect a tongue weight of ~ 425 lbs when the TT is loaded.

A 2014 4 runner ( V6 2wd) has a payload capacity of ~ 1500 lbs.

That leaves you 1075 lbs of capacity for passengers and gear in the tow vehicle.

You should confirm your payload capacity ( sticker on the door?) and/or at the scale, but it looks like you should be fine

Welcome from Colorado

Load up and visit a local CAT scale. For about $16 (3 passes over the scales) you will get a very complete picture of your weights and how well you are ballanced. Knowing your TT's weights will also better arm you when shopping for the next TV. Welcome to the Jayco family and keep posting your outings, discoveries and questions.
The CAT Scale is your friend.
