Me and my new Jayco White Hawk 27DSRL

Hi All! My name is Ed and I am excited about joining this forum and communicating with you all. I know there is a lot to learn about RVing, which is why I joined this group. I have been a tent camper the majority of my life until my better half told me she would feel more comfortable camping in something a bear cannot get to her in. Well - I told her that a bear can get into anything he/she wants to if he/she wants whatever is inside and how bad he/she wants it :-) Anyways, we started off with an '72 Amerigo Cabover for our Long bed '05 Chevy Silverado 1500. After we discovered it had wood rot, we upgraded to a 16' 2012 KZ 16FTH Toy Hauler/Travel Trailer. That was a really nicecamper for short camping trips. Well, now that we are at that age where we have downsized our belongings and ready to join the group of camp hosts and work campers, we have upgraded to our Jayco White Hawk 27DSRL!!! So far we love it. I guess my question to you all are:
What items do you recommend for being a Full Time RVer?
What do you use for saving space in an RV?
I guess I can cruise around on this site and find some good answers, right? Anyways - hope to see you out there on the road!!!

Ed

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new trailer.

Yes, surf this site. Also use the search function. There are TONS of good answers on this forum... some for questions you didn't even know you had.

We live in AZ, too, not far from Sedona. This year we plan to take a long trip with out new trailer. Next year we plan to begin hosting/work camping.

Welcome to the forum.
We also have a 27DSRL and so far we are pleased with it. There are a couple of things you may want to look into though: The heater blew almost all the warm air into the bathroom. A change to adjustable vents in the bathroom and bedroom fixed that, cost ~$20. Found them on Amazon. Also, the OEM thermostat was horrible. An upgrade to a digital model is about $70 and worth every penny. Again found on Amazon. Swapping it out took about half an hour and required a Philips head screwdriver. Apart from those things it has been smooth sailing. Cheers!
