New (bee) in Colorado w/ a 1007

In the past few days I have had many questions answered just browsing this forum, thank you!

I am new to the camping world and pop-ups but my wife's family had one growing up so she is very excited to now be taking our family camping (we have 3 little ones).

We bought a used 2006 1007 model this winter and will be getting out for our first trip this coming weekend. We had a test run in the driveway this past weekend where we discovered a leaking water tank (now fixed) and shot power converter (replacing it tonight!). So I am very thankful we did the test run!!

We have 6 trips planned for this summer and everyone is pretty excited.

Thanks for all the help in advance!

That's great. Like to hear about young families getting into the camping mode. You guy's will have a great time and build many lifelong memories in that little trailer. We were a family of 7 when we started in our popup years ago, and the kids were young. We still talk about some of our adventures in that particular camper. So many places available here in Colorado that you can get into with that, while those of us with the larger RV's now can only wish we could get to. Enjoy!

Congratulations! on the "new-to-you" trailer, and welcome to The Forum. If you've already fixed a leaky water tank, and are now replacing your converter, you'll be in high demand for advise from the rest of us!

Sounds like you've also got a great summer planned. Here's hoping it will be the first of many!

Best wishes....

For me, tinkering is half the fun of owning a camper
