New Eagle HT26.5 BHS

Looking forward to reading up on the Jayco info here. Next Monday I'll pick up our 26.5BHS FW. Similar layout to the TT we're coming from, but nicer and a few feet longer. We're really looking forward to it. We wanted something a bit nicer and a FW, but didn't want to go too big as we enjoy state and national parks. I'll post up pics after delivery.

Picked up the trailer. Really impressed with it. Moved all of the stuff from the previous trailer into it once I got home. The outside storage is a bit different from our previous TT, so had to get a little creative there. Only one complaint so far and it's a small one. The outside LED's have no remote with dimmer. My lower end TT had that so I assumed that's how mid grade fiver my ship. I'll just need to find a small amber light I can put on the exterior.

And a photo. Used the slider today to get into my storage spot. Probably didn't need it, but took some one more potential error out of the mix. Hitch hooks and unhooks very easily. Slide moved with ease but had to convince it lock in a couple times.

I am also thinking and rethinking about what I would like to have. I had thought of getting a TT, but have had a fifth wheel so long that I just don't know if I would be happy with a TT. Currently have a 37 ft. Cedar Creek and want to go smaller. The 37.5RDKS and the 37.5RLTD are both on my to check out list.
Problem is the RDKS is no where to be seen, and the RLTS isn't coming in till April and it won't be what I would have in options.
So, just wondering what you have as options in your new trailer and what would you have wanted now that you have it home?

This trailer is really similar my previous TT which we liked as far as floorpan is concerned. That being said, I'll agree with you on counter space. It's a little cramped. In the case of this unit, it does come with a large extender for the counter top, so when you really need the space it's there.

As far as options are concerned, there were three of these models on the lot. Two had interior colors we liked but they were configured a little different. Here's the options we have.

15K second AC
50 amp service
Fire place
Bumper mounted gas grill
4 Pt auto leveling sytsem

The other unit was the same but did not have the grill or auto level. It instead had the backup camera, 16" wheels, and on demand water heater.

Between the 2, I really wanted the auto level. The outside grill, I'll probably just reserve for campgrounds with a fire ban. I was ok my 15" wheels since they're at least E rated, but I can see upgrading that myself down the road. I didn't want the on demand hot water, and could live without a camera on the back.

After spending some time with it moving in, and then just hanging out in it getting acquainted, my only complaint is lights. The LED's I mentioned in the earlier post, and then also the ceiling lights which are all or nothing. Also, not really a complaint as much as a challenge is the limits of the outside storage, but that's the only way for me to have a stubby light weight fiver. I did get everything in. It's just different than my TT, which had cavernous outside storage in comparison. The auto level is fantastic. Really glad I went with that. Part of the reason I wanted a fifth wheel was easier setup and tear down, and this helps with that.

That's my set up. My only other concern is the AC. I really liked the cold air dump(quick cool) in my TT. It worked great. On this one, I forgot to run the AC at PDI. Stupid I know. Anyway, just running the fan at home off the house power, I wasn't blown away by the airflow. It's seems the flow is better on the ends of trailer vs the middle closest to the unit. My guess is since ducts terminate at the ends, air flow there will always be greater, where as most of the flow passes the middle ducts en route to either end. Maybe with the compressor running there will be a bit more flow. Also, on the thermostat, fan high and fan low didn't seem to change the flow rate as it did on my TT. Same on other units I tried.

Too much coffee this morning, so a little more info than was asked for, but potentially helpful to others looking for info and insight on these units.

Thanks for the compliment. We're taking it up to Sulpher, OK for the maiden voyage this weekend. Looking forward to it.

For others with s similar trailer.....When plugged into power at home, I was testing out the heat and and fan(didn't want to run AC compressor on low power), and noticed the fan speed doesn't seem to change when I move the fan switch from low to high at either thermostat. In my old travel trailer with a dometic ducted unit, it was a pretty pronounced difference. Do I have improperly wired thermostats or do you observe the same thing?
