New from Naples, NY!

Hey all! Just saying hi. I just ordered a new Baja 10g. I ordered it with the customer value package, hard side shower/toilet and furnace...hopefully the later will encourage my wife to camp with me! I am replacing a 2003 Starcraft 2107. I went the route of the Baja so I could bring my new Polaris Sportsman 500 with me.

My tow vehicle is a 2006 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. It has an upgraded suspension and some trail upgrades. It is a manual and does pretty well towing the Starcraft and my landscape trailer with firewood or my 4-wheeler. I'm hoping the Baja will tow as well with 4-wheeler.

I will address my towing questions regarding WD hitches and sway control after I search this site.

Looking forward to "meeting" with y'all!

We are up in Greece , wife and I graduated from Athena 88 and 89. Checked out your new Baja, I remember looking at those when we started looking, looks cool. Any ETA on delivery, waiting is the hardest part... we special ordered a 2012 228 last year, had some issues and delays at dealership and ended up with the 3rd 2013 228 off the line.

Johnson's RV guesstimated 6-10 weeks. I know all about the waiting thing, I am a "now" and "instant gratification" kinda guy! Last year was my first year as a camper owner. I used it 4 long weekends from June to September. I'd like to get out 6-10 times this year. New to me will be the shower/toilet and "running" water, cold and hot!

We got our at Johnston's Webster store, we had been tent campers, and my FIL had a cabin in Canisteo that we loved, but he decided to sell when he got remarried, and he wanted to sell it to me, way too much money. So we looked at campers, started with Pup's and decided they were too small. I'm 6ft 6 and they didn't do it for me. Went Ultra lite b/c of T.V. and we love it. I probably stayed in our 2 maybe 3 times last year, my wife is a teacher she hooked up to it and I didn't see her all summer...lol. She had 7 trips I think, we have 4 scheduled so far this year. We have Webster park, Hickory Hill in Bath for Watkins Glen Nascar weekend, Sampson state park on Cayuga lake and she has a family thing at Letchworth. Still have a few weekends to fill. Hamlin and Lakeside out in Carlton may be added went last year and everyone had a good time.

Welcome to the site from another Rochesterian. We have a 2013 x23b that we got late last year from Johnston's. Loved every minute in it for the short 10 days we used it last year. Went to Keuka SP which is one of our favorites. We also do Sampson, 4 Mile Creek, Golden Hills and this year Green Lakes SP.
