New from southern Illinois

Just got a new travel trailer last week. I did have a class c a few years back but just getting back into camping missed it.
Wanted to join a forum that has RV. tips and new ideas to consider. Plus a area to go to if a problem comes up. Hope to learn a lot.
Thanks. T.

Welcome aboard from another RV'er from Southern Illinois. I claim BONNIE ILL south of Mount Vernon on ILL 37 as home of origin in Jefferson County... In the small towns like Bonnie and Ina you are kin one way or another to everyone there hehe... When I got married in the 60's I had to go all the way to Arkansas to find someone we was NOT kin to hehe... That was my story line at any any rate... Even at that my wife's family from OKLA were in the area just East of Mount Vernon putting in the oil fields way back then and my wife's mother living in the oil field shanty towns went to school in the Mount Vernon area...

You gonna love camping in the REND LAKE area and down further south in the Kentucky Lake dam sites in the Lands between the Lakes...

Welcome from Northwest Indiana. I second Roybraddy's comment about the Rend Lake area. We were there last year and had a good time in the area.

I got a 2013 Jay Flight 33BHTS. I picked it up last week. I also got a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 at the beg of Oct. I retired from my job and looking to get one that requires some travel and time away. So I was able to convince my DW of 25 years that we really needed them LOL. Good thing it was not a hard sell to do.
