New guy...

Hey folks.
New to the forum, but not new to forums.
A little background..
Probably like most we, wife and daughter, started out in a tent. Did that for a few years. One cold October we got a little wet. She says, "that's it, I want a camper.". Made the long 20 minute trip home to get some dry clothes and went back. The other couples we were with were absolutely shocked we didnt come back with a trailer. Not yet. She wants a pop-up. Yeah, I don't think so. A pop-up being towed by an 800hp diesel truck?? That's just dumb. Go big or go home. Later the next year she finds us a 34' 2004 Montana mountaineer 5th wheel. Ended up buying that one. It was a great trailer. Served us well for 4 years until we opened it up in the spring of 2015. The floor was split from the harsh cold winter. Not a big deal, I'll just install a new floor. Nope, All I heard is how we need a new trailer. Okay.... I found us a brand new 40' Forest River Sierra. Bought it and within a month had the montana sold. What a nightmare that sierra turned out to be. Want specifics, let me know and I'll start a thread on that train wreck.
Anyway, we looked and looked at all kinda of trailers in our travels. Talked to many, many people about what they had that we liked. We narrowed it down to a Gateway or a North Point. Ended up getting the North Point because of the dealer. Also, I let her pick the trailer, since I picked out the Sierra and it was a piece of junk. I guess I can't pick out trailers very well. Lol!

Oh God! Don't say that! Reefer issue I hate!
Pinnacle is a great looking unit too. We looked at those. The North Point was more that what I wanted to spend but we got to heck of a good deal on it and the pinnacle,... wow! Those are nice! You got deeper pockets than me!
In your signature it says way down here in Florida, I just left Ft Meyers area yesterday morning and just got home here to Michigan. Joined the forum on the way home. Nothing better to do when you're on a 2 day ride home. Lol
