New guy, new question

Hello All,
Just purchased a gently used 2003 Jayco 21FB and finished our second trip with it! Question: Am having a difficult time getting someone to make duplicate keys for the trailer-any hints? The Jayco factory sends you to a dealer, a dealer sends you to a locksmith who says he doesn't have the blank. Now, grant you, I've only been to one locksmith...should I keep trying other locksmiths?
Thanks!

What name is on the lock? Sometimes you can order new keys using the # off the key.

We had to get a set of extra keys made for our old Starcraft hybrid. I took the originals to the best locksmith in town and he had a heck of a time finding the right blank. Then he discovered that the blanks for The Club steering wheel lock were the same, just a bit too long, so he ground off the extra. This is something that his years of experience taught him, and the kid in the hardware department at the big box store wouldn't know.

The Jayco dealer in Tampa had blanks and had the lock-smith cut them for us while we waited. That was 4 years ago.

I went to the local Dealer and they sold me a key. You just need to take the back off of the lock and write down the code and brand. There really are not that many different keys.
