Welcome

Congrats Indiana!! We just bought our first TT too. We bought a Jay Feather X20E Hybrid. We will be picking it up in early April. We had a pop-up for a few years but, it was a pain sometimes and we would like to do alot more weekend trips.

Happy Trails!

Thank you everyone

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome on here. Out TT is the Jayco Feather X17Z, also a hybrid. Michelle I am sure it is a bit similiar to yours. It is a whopping 32 degrees in northern Indiana today, but the sun is shining..so I'm getting the "fever"

Welcome to the site, Indiana. We also got a little tired of the tents, but it was mainly the bears in Northern New Mexico that helped convince us it was time to move up to an RV. Today, we just lay on the bed in comfort and listen to the "tenters" scream and yell at 2am when the bears come a'sniffin around.

Maiden Voyage

Healthi, We have a State Park about 15 miles from our home, we will probably spend a weekend at their campgrounds for our first experience to get the bugs worked out before a longer haul.

Always a good idea for first time use

Camping close to home or at least not too far from civilization is an excellent choice for your first trip with a new trailer. You arrive in daylight without being tired - you don't make silly mistakes that way. Our first TT was a Palamino Stampede S17 hybrid - we loved it but it got too small when our son wanted to bring a friend. We traded uo to a 19H for a couple of years and now have just bought a 21M hybrid with the slideout. We love the hybrids - no loss of floorspace with the beds. Enjoy!
