New Jayco 5th Wheel owner intro

Hi all, We wanted to introduce ourselves to the forum, we won't get our trailer until August but are hoping to gain some insight on how to use it safely and enjoyably over the coming months, so please bear with us if we have many silly questions (our only camping experience is in tents over 20 yrs ago)
and towing experience is limited to pulling an old car on a u-haul trailer.

Thanks

Denise & John

Congratulations (a bit early) on the new 5th wheel and welcome to the JOF.

I'm sure you'll find 5th wheel camping MUCH more fun than a tent (IMO) and certainly pulling it will will be more fun that towing an old car on u-haul trailer.

Welcome to JOF. Ask away and also do some searching on topics you are interested in. Some may have already been discussed but don't let that stop you from asking again!

There are many ways to do the same thing in learning about your rv. Some procedures that affect safety are not up for debate but you can choose and personalize a lot to make camping fit your lifestyle.

Learning about all the systems, electrical, fresh water, grey water, black water, hot water, heat and air conditioning, etc is key to having an enjoyable experience camping.

Make it fun!

Thanks to all for the kinds words and warm welcome, we went with 27.5 rlts, we really liked the 2 yr warranty, which gives us some extra confidence since we are new to this.
