New Jayco "to be" Owner

Hey everyone...Greetings from Central New York. I joined the forum about a week or so ago to assist me in finalizing a new purchase decision that my wife and I just dropped the hammer on today.

We have been the proud owners of a 2013 Rockwood Windjammer TT for the past three years. Prior to that, we owned a 2004 Trailcruiser TT. We bought it from a friend that got us HOOKED on camping. After a few seasons with it, we felt an upgrade to a new, custom order TT was in order, hence the Windjammer.

A few weeks ago, I upgraded my TV to a 2015 Silverado 2500HD Duramax. On our recent annual trip to Maine, that truck pulled the Windjammer so well that I never once felt the trailer behind me. In fact, my wife even commented on how smooth and quiet it was compared to the Silverado 1500 we had owned prior to.

With all my new found power in the truck, it opened the door for her to go shopping for a new Fiver. That brings me to this forum.

We finalized our deal today on a 2016 Jayco North Point 375BHFS. Several friends of ours have Eagle Premiers, with our closest friend owning the 2013 bunkhouse floorplan. We walked through a 2015 Eagle Premier Bunk this past weekend and immediately fell in love with the floorplan and all of the amazing amenities. It took close to a week of haggling between two different dealers, but we got what we wanted at the price we can handle.

We are being told about 10 weeks until we take delivery which will put us pretty much at the end of the camping season here...but I am hoping to make at least one trip with it before it gets tucked away for the long, ridiculous winters here.

I love the forum so far, and wanted to thank the people that I received feedback from already. I am looking forward to reading much much more!

Happy Camping!

Congratulations on the new fiver. Here's hoping the winter weather holds off so you'll have chances to use it this year.

Welcome aboard!

We routinely camp in your backyard, in Remsen, about 30 mi north of Utica.

Good luck and have fun with the new 5er.

Oh wow. Yeah! Literally in our backyard! Our favorite spot is West Canada Creek Campsites in Poland. Only about a twenty minute ride from Utica.
