New Member 2012 308 RETS

Hello everyone and thank you for allowing us to join. We are the proud owners of a new 2012, 308 RETS! Well, we will be once they are done building her.

We are very excited and we're sure we'll have many question and hope that everyone will be patient with us. Camped (Jayco Pop-up 1406KB) many years ago when our kids were little. Got into boating after that for 15 years and now back to camping.

Jayco was our only choice. No other camper was an option.. Okay, we've rambled enough..

Welcome 308 RETS - that is a great floorplan. What are you pulling it with?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. We have a F250 Power Stroke diesel. Although most of the time she'll sit on a permanent camp site. We will take her on vacations once or twice a year.

Lady Ann.. Congratulations! Our Dealer had one at the Pittsburgh RV Show, but we had some appointments that we wanted, so we special ordered!

What part of Ohio are you guys from? We docked our boat up in Marblehead last summer and really enjoyed the area (Island Hopping wasn't too bad either)!

If we may ask, what type of hitch are you guys using? I've read the need to be carefull what I buy since the new design change (Bubble front with the enclosed propane tanks). Very clost to the frame. Not as much room for the distribution hitch.

Enjoy your new camper!

It is an Equalizer brand hitch.

We are in the southwest corner of the state. Not sure when we will make it that far North. Most of our plans this year are south and local.

We were very happy with the options already available on this unit. There wasn't anything extra we needed. We are very excited to get soon and hoping for some nice weather to take it out.

Thanks Lady Ann! Everything I'm reading, this seems to be the hitch of choice.

We won't be up at the lake (Marblehead) anytime soon. We actually sold our boat to buy our Jayco.. I good decission if I say so myself....

Best of luck to you and your family with your new camper...
