My wife & I ordered a 2017 Jayco in December. Hope to have the
RV sometime in April. Camping started with my father who had a
few trailers. I started with a pickup side on to pop up to
travel trailer to 5th wheel. First time for a Jayco. Can't wait for
summer. I ordered a North Point.

We are interested in a North Pointe. We like their amenities and and design. Have you used your yet?
Does the trailer wobble when you are walking or moving around. Are there features you would rethink about?
Presently, we travel in a Forest River Wildcat 2010. It's fine for us, but we are looking to moving up.
Good luck in your new North Pointe. I think we should be envious.

Its on order hope to have it in a few months.
My wife & I went with friends who were looking at a North Point 375 and she fell in love with the 377. We traded in our Open Range & expect to be camping in the 377 in May.

DirtHopper, I see you have a 3500 Max Denali. I'm a little confused about all the acronyms in the towing lingo. We are moving up to a bigger fifth wheel. I read the specs on the trucks (350's) and the GCWR is 10,000 lbs. It is my belief that a 350 or 3500 should easier haul and stop with a big rig (about 16,000 lbs). I'm seeking advice. I do not have confidence in the sales person since they only want to sale a truck. Can you give advice or direct me to another resource? Thanks

Considering a Jayco hybrid 19XUD

Hi. We are looking for our "retirement cottage" and are considering the 19XUD due to the towing limitations of our eventual car (Kia Sorento V6). We now have an r-pod (my husband's choice) which will NOT be our "retirement cottage". Does anybody out there currently own one of these hybrid models? We plan to travel all over the US with it. I like the tent ends which can accommodate extra family should they want to fly, drive or take the train in and visit while we are on the road. What are the pros & cons? My husband is worried that the tent ends will leak. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

There are many members that own hybrids on this site. Unfortunately, I am not one of them so can't answer your question directly. Hopefully, you'll hear from one of them before too long.

In December my wife & I ordered a North Point 377RLBH. The 5th wheel has a GVWR of 15,975. I have a 2016 Sierra 3500HD, Diesel, 4WD, SRW, Short Box. The GVWR is 17,200. There should not be a problem towing the trailer. When I went to the GM dealer I had them give me a Sierra booklet & tow booklet so I could look up the tow specifications, I don't trust a person trying to sell me something. I had a Curt 25K roller hitch put in the truck. I hope I helped you a little.
Maybe someone else could advise what the GVWR should be of the tow vehicle if your trailer is 16,500.
