Welcome to the JOF. What will you be using as your Tow Vehicle (TV)?

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab Laramie 4x4. It's rated for 8200 lbs towing. I will be buying the WDH and sway bar as well as a brake controller. We were previously tent trailer owners and decided that it had become a chore to set it up and take down not to mention having to set it up at home just to clean and air out and take down again. We are looking forward to our new travel trailer and because we boondock most of the time. What are you suggestions for having no hook ups? I have a 2000 watt Champion Invertor generator for charging the battery and I will carry extra container of water. Is there anything else I should consider?

Noticed you said "battery" singular. I think I would suggest adding 1 more.

Welcome fellow wet coaster. I am in Abbotsford, a solar panel would be a good boondocking item to help keep the batteries charged up as well as LED lighting to keep power consumption down. We also did 2x6volt batteries as they last longer apparently. Enjoy the new trailer, I assume you went to Travellland in Langley.

I bought from Traveland RV on the bypass in Langley. We saw it at the RV show at the Tradex in Abbotsford......did not intend to buy one, buy we loved the layout

Yup I did buy at Traveland in Langley. I though about the solar panel, any idea what size I should get? I think that I will do the 2 - 6 volt battery mod as well. Thanks for the info

We are in the process of buying a unit from Traveland. They have been very patient with me, and I with them. We are pretty close to pulling the trigger so to speak. Hopefully this weekend. We saw the same trailer you purchased at the Abbotsford rv show the other week as well. It's a great unit. Post some pics when you get a chance.

Cheers

We looked at our trailer and purchased it at the RV show in 2010.

Are you getting the same trailer? Mine is still there, I will be picking it up on Sat, I am having the paint protection done on it......crossing my fingers that it doesn't snow!! I bought the one with the oven and has the twin propane tank. There was another one there that was sold identical to mine. I believe that one was the one that they have at the RV show. I think that they only have one left and that one has the single 30 gal tank and no oven

We would have done the same thing, but we have to pick up our daughter so we have to leave the show early before we really had a chance to look at it
