Where is desert in Washington? We live in Oregon and have some High Desert in the S.E. part of state but am not familiar with any desert in Wash.

Welcome from Oregon. Be sure to travel along 101 costal highway. Lots of great camping - Fort Stevens SP, Waldport, Florence & more.
