New Member Introduction

Been checking out the JOF while waiting for our Jayco 27 DSRL and finally decided to join after a few weeks and seeing all the great advice being made available to members. My family (wife and two boys) started out tent camping and graduated to a Coleman Chesapeake Pop Up camper back in '95. Boys are now gone and we're looking forward to the next stage and thought it was time to upgrade to a couples trailer, but one that would also allow the boys join us again for old times sake if they ever wanted. Thinking that might not happened, we actually threatened to park it outside their apartment in Brooklyn sometime. Sold the Coleman yesterday on Craig's List and are expecting delivery of the Jayco early next month. I'm looking forward to posting a few questions as we get ready to take delivery and hearing what members have to say.

Welcome! Be sure to post pictures when the new trailer arrives.

Haha, exjay1 - Brooklyn Stakeout. That would be a great movie title!

Welcome to JOF!
Waiting for a new RV is the hardest thing to do especially with camping season here...or hopefully there in Massachusetts. We in Husker Nation are having 40º rain in the east and heavy snow in the west.

Thanks everyone and we're hoping we'll have the 27 DSRL in time have made reservations we decided to take a gamble on for Memorial Day weekend at one of our favorite campgrounds up in the Berkshires.

I called the dealer today and they checked and found out my unit has been built and released for delivery. Now I guess they just have to work through that backlog in the yard I saw on another post here. Can't wait and would appreciate any thoughts on the PDI and what I should expect or be prepared to do. From everything I've been able to find out our dealer has a very good reputation. Thanks.

Welcome. People will ask how many people our trailer sleeps and I say 2, the wife and I plus our dogs. We make room for our grown up kids if they decide to come with us.
