new member/jay feather ultra light 228 owner

new owner here. dont really see anyone else on here with our new camper. 2012 jay feather ultra light 228. just pulled it home last Friday, bout 100 miles. excited for spring. first and only snow we have seen this year came the next day!! lol we owned a 1994 pop up.....jayco 12kb for 6-7years and borrowed a 1999 starcraft pop up for the last 2-3 years. mom owned a 2005ish jayco pop up for 3-4 years. in laws have a 2007 jay feather 218. we mostly camp with them. we are hardcore Toyota and jayco. inlaws tow with a 2007 tacoma quad cab long bed 4wd. we tow with a 2006 sequoia. and I have a 1999 supercharged tacoma. lol our family get-togethers look like a dealerships parking lot. we work/have worked in the Toyota world.
there were no other brands that came to surface when looking for our tt. jayco was it. we looked at the others just enough to realize how light weight/well built jaycos really are. we love that they use real wood, make a lot of their own parts, and are a family company! among other reasons.
I'm glad this forum exists and am always looking around and learning from others.

Looks like a great unit and you're in a good area of the country to enjoy it. Welcome to the forum.

Our TT is on a seasonal site so I don't tow with it. Regular MPG ranges thru the year from 14+/- in the winter to 17+/- in summer.

oh that stuff.....well its wet, heavy and throws well......other than that its just keeping me from camping, but a good time to burn all that new smell out of the furnace, and check for water leaks.

Hmmm... how did you figure out they were different? Owner's Guide or was there something printed on the tanks themselves? Great news IMHO!

I vaguely remember that white stuff. It has been 6 years and I am trying to forget. Nice pics.
