Smile New member, old trailer.

Hi all,

Just thought I'd introduce myself. We just bought a 1999 Hawk 24 FB - definitely a bit larger than what we had before! (Our old trailer was approx 17'). Looking forward to hanging out here and seeing if anyone still remembers the older models, and has any words of wisdom.

Thanks!
Dirk

Dirk, welcome to the forum with your older Jayco trailer. I hope it's all in good order. We had a 95 Aljo 2440 up until this spring. After some renovations I did because of weather damage, she is still in good working order and owned now by a good friend. One thing for certain. The bugs in your trailer (if any) were probably worked out years ago. Enjoy your TT. The best RV is the one that suits your needs.

Thanks guys. It's mostly in good shape - needs a new water heater (or maybe just a tank - the PO wasn't sure, aside from knowing it had a problem and was bypassed), and I'm looking at a spot where it looks like there once was a little leak. Need to figure out if there's anything that can be done about the bubble in the wall. Otherwise, we'll see. Want to look for advice here on moving to a dual battery system as well. The fun begins.
