New member with a helping hand

thank you for this very helpful and educational web site.
I'm not to computer educated but I'm trying, and I'll learn where my post needs to be placed. I have an important message regarding the tankless water heater model Girard gswh-1m I was reading some pros and cons about it and I would Ike to share with you my experience with the same unit. We have a small trailer that we use to give showers to the homeless in our community. It contains 3 stand up stalls and they run off of a grundfos 1 hp pump. It never runs out of hot water in fact it runs steady for two hours putting out approx 50-55 showers on a good day. The tankless is doing its job above and beyond. Hope to hear more positive reports in respect to this unit. May God bless you

Welcome to JOF. I have read lots on demand water heaters. In fact I have one and love it in my home, however most complaints I read are when they are installed in MH's. I don't know why but the reviews from owners are mixed.

There is much to read on this and other forums on this subject. Thanks for your input.

Had a tank less w/h in a large apt in Ankara Turkey in the mid 60's. Served our home well for three years. The tech has been around the world for some time. Strange its just now catching on in "developed country".

Hey Norty, I think the problem with on demand water heaters in TT & MH is the water quality. My company has been installing them in homes for years, the one thing that we tell our customers is to get a water softener. I have one in my home as well and flush it 2 times a year. Once they get excessive lime buildup in the heat exchanger, it's really hard to remove.

The complaints I hear are not from build up of scale. They are having problems adjusting water temperature.
